The Origin of Praesidium Virtus Consulting

Forged from lived experience. Rooted in service. Committed to impact.

Praesidium Virtus Consulting was founded by David Foster, a veteran who experienced firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate life after military service—especially when facing serious health challenges, bureaucratic red tape, and the feeling of being forgotten by the very systems meant to support us.

After successfully advocating for his own benefits and housing stability during a life-altering diagnosis, David began helping fellow veterans informally—one phone call, one document, and one success story at a time. It quickly became clear: the need for trauma-informed, veteran-led, and emotionally intelligent support was urgent—and deeply unmet.

So he founded Praesidium Virtus Consulting, Latin for “Guardianship of Courage.” Not as a traditional nonprofit, but as a mission-first organization committed to protecting the dignity, well-being, and future of those who served.

PVC doesn’t just offer services. We build trust. We walk beside each veteran with the respect, patience, and clarity they deserve—whether they’re navigating the VA claims process, seeking housing stability, or rebuilding their lives piece by piece.

What began with one veteran’s determination has grown into a nationwide effort—led by a small but relentless team of advocates who believe no veteran should ever fall through the cracks.

This isn’t charity. It’s solidarity. It’s strategy. It’s standing together.
